Sechaba sa Batho Burial Society (SBBA)

Sechaba sa Batho Burial Society (SBBA)

Established in 1999, the SBBA currently serves the needs of some 200 impoverished members of the Greater Johannesburg area. As part of its drive to ensure sustainability, the SBBA trains the children of its members to sew and helps to find markets for their products. When the SBBA experienced operational challenges, it turned to the Thebe Foundation for assistance in improving standards of governance, securing adequate premises and advising on a sustainability strategy that would help the SBBA through a difficult period and set it on course for growth.
